Hurricane update: Ruskin Campus to re-open Wednesday
Posted: October 4, 2022
Our Ruskin Campus will reopen tomorrow for in-person classes.
Though there is much rebuilding ahead for the communities around and near our campus, the feedback we’ve received from our students, faculty and staff has shown they are ready to return to campus and to their work. Classes will operate on their normal schedule Wednesday and afterward, unless instructed otherwise by faculty.
We are thankful to everyone who has helped restore power and otherwise assisted in making this moment happen.
We have planned a moment of care to come together as one Gannon Family for those affected by Hurricane Ian. This will be held at 3:30 p.m. this Thursday via Zoom at https://gannon.zoom.us/j/89725226957?pwd=QzBkdDdIM2FUSUl4ZEJ6cC9KZHp1QT09
We are also aware that this storm has affected many people in different ways and to different degrees of magnitude. We will accommodate those who need further assistance or more time, where it is possible. If you need assistance or hear that someone needs assistance, please get that information to Desi Herter or Lynzie Sauls. Financial resources are being organized and mental health services, should you need them, are available through TimelyCare and our Employee Assistance Program.
We are eager to see you back on campus and hope the recovery is as smooth – and short – as possible.
