March 2 vaccine clinic at Gannon canceled
Posted: February 26, 2021
We regret to inform you that we have a pair of disappointing announcements regarding the vaccine clinics planned at Gannon University’s Erie campus.
- Due to the shortage of vaccines, the vaccination clinic planned for March 2 is canceled.
- Future “Dose 1 clinics” planned for March 23 and beyond are suspended as our partners at LECOM and the Erie County Department of Health transition their vaccination program to the Bayfront Convention Center.
Those who received their first doses of the vaccine on Feb 9 and Feb. 16 will still receive their second doses on campus on March 9 and March 16. If you don’t already have a time for your appointment, you will be receiving a time shortly via email.
This is an evolving situation, and details – like doses of the vaccine – have been in short supply. As soon as we have more information to share we will do so.
We are grateful to have partnered with LECOM and provide the vaccine to those identified in Phase 1A at Gannon. We are actively searching for alternative solutions that would allow us to provide vaccines to those on campus who would like to receive it.
LECOM is recommending in the meantime, as we continue to assess possible future joint efforts, that individuals call (866) 532-6619 (1-866-LECOM-19) or email vaccineinfo@lecomslc.org to request an appointment.

We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we navigate this uncharted situation to do our best in keeping our campus community safe and healthy. Thank you.
