Dose 2 clinics adjusted, Dose 1 clinic planned for March 30

Posted: March 5, 2021

We have two important updates regarding the Gannon-based COVID-19 vaccine clinics through our partners at LECOM.

Those due for their second doses on March 9 will receive emails between now and next week with appointment instructions for March 16.

In general, the times of March 9 appointments should be similar to the new appointments on March 16. NOTE: There is very limited ability to accommodate those who might have a conflict on March 16 so please do your best to accommodate the appointment you are given.

The biometric screening scheduled for March 16th will still take place within the WCC/Beyer Hall complex. The exact location has yet to be determined.  We realize that some of you are scheduled for a biometric screening on March 16 as well.  We will work with you to make sure your scheduled appointments do not conflict.

The delay from March 9 to March 16 should not affect the efficacy of the vaccine. According to CDC, Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may be administered up to six weeks (42 days) after the first dose. For more on this, go to https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/clinical-considerations.html

As for the new Dose 1 clinic on March 30:

The vaccination program across Pennsylvania remains fluid, with changes being announced on a near-daily basis. We will alert you via email to any additional changes to our campus-based vaccine efforts as we continue to explore possible ways to accommodate our campus community.
