Ruskin commencement update

Posted: May 13, 2021

We are making last-minute changes to our Ruskin Commencement given Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s executive order that lifted all remaining COVID-19 health restrictions.

As of today, we are no longer limiting attendance to Saturday’s event, which begins at 1 p.m. in the Bradenton Area Convention Center. You can disregard the tickets and seat arrangements you were given. You are welcome to bring as many guests as you want. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. No tickets are required.

Masks are encouraged, but not required. Wear them at your discretion.

The venue, reflecting the governor’s order, is also not requiring social distancing. Graduates and guests will not be required to be six feet apart.

For students, please arrive no later than noon at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. You can enter the venue through the south conference center entrance. Everyone else must go through the north entrance, where the box office is location.

As always, if you have a question or a comment, you can submit it at https://www.gannon.edu/Questions-or-Comments/.
