LiveSafe app will be required at Gannon
Posted: June 29, 2020
The daily monitoring of our health is going to be an important part of our return to campus.
To assist with this, we have upgraded the services available through the LiveSafe app to include a daily COVID-19 survey that each of us will be required to complete prior to arriving on campus – or, if you live on campus, before going to class.
We are also asking that you begin taking the daily survey two weeks before your return to campus.
Gannon has been using the LiveSafe app for four years as a campus safety platform. Students, faculty and staff have been able to use the app for emergencies, to report suspicious activity and to hail the Knight Watch van for rides home. All of those services are still available. Now, however, the app also features the mandatory daily COVID-19 survey, a tip line for COVID-19 related questions or observations, and a robust amount of information and resources regarding COVID-19 and other ways to maintain your well-being.
The daily COVID-19 survey is vital.
The survey is just three questions: It asks if you have any of the symptoms of COVID-19; if you’ve been in contact with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19; and if you have tested positive for COVID-19 since your last survey response.
Below are PDFs – one to show you how to download the LiveSafe app and one that gives an overview of what you’re looking at. Each features a QR code to direct you to the app for download.

There will be further communications coming regarding our entire screening, monitoring and testing regimen. That regimen starts with the daily survey.
For those who do not have a smartphone, there will be an online version you can go to on your computer or you will be able to take a paper survey at one of the several health check stations we will have around campus.
Thank you for your ongoing flexibility in this ever-evolving situation. We will continue to keep everyone informed as events unfold. Continue to visit https://update.gannon.edu for our latest decisions and for resources to assist you.
