New policies for staff and faculty regarding travel, COVID pay

Posted: July 20, 2020

We continue to prepare for the reopening of campus and the resumption of large parts of our operation. To that end, we have updated a travel policy we issued in May, and we have created guidelines for how the Gannon University community will handle pay if staff or faculty must quarantine because of exposure to someone with COVID-19 or because a staff member or faculty member has developed COVID-19.

TRAVEL POLICY

Key pieces to be aware of include a new travel notification, and a quarantine and testing requirement if traveling by certain modes or (for Erie campus staff and faculty) if you are traveling to a state that the Pennsylvania Department of Health has identified as requiring a quarantine on your return. You can read the policy at https://update.gannon.edu/Documents/GannonUniversity-EmployeeTravelPolicy.pdf

QUARANTINE AND COVID POSITIVE PAY

Key pieces to understand involve personal travel, the introduction of “COVID days,” and medical costs if you develop COVID-19. You can read the guidelines at https://update.gannon.edu/Documents/GannonUniversity-QuarantineAndCovidPositivePay.pdf
